Dr. Lee has extensive experience in head and neck surgery. She has particular interest in thyroid and parathyroid diseases as well as cancers of the head and neck. This includes areas of the mouth, sinuses, throat and larynx. She utilizes minimally invasive techniques such as TORS (transoral robot-assisted surgery) to maximize the benefits to her patients. Her experience also encompasses aggressive skin cancers that involve the head and neck include melanoma, merkel cell carcinoma, and other skin cancers. She subscribes to a multi-discipline team approach to cancer care for her patients. Dr. Patty Lee actively participates in team conferences for Head and Neck Oncology, Melanoma, Cutaneous Malignancy, and Endocrine Surgical Oncology at Inova Schar Cancer Institute.
Dr. Lee’s family immigrated to the United States from Taiwan. She learned English in second grade, and from that point forward, reached each stepping stone in her journey through the support of her parents, her teachers, and many friends along the way. For recreation Dr. Lee enjoys hiking, cooking, reading mysteries and visiting national parks.
